Budding photographer, Laura Palady has years of experience with photographing children. Laura is a wife and mom to 5 kids who comes from a long line of photographers. She also has a vast portfolio of experience in digital imagery, event photography, photo restoration, special edits, groups and individual portraits.
"Meet our Halloween Photo Contest Winner
Meet the winner of our "Cutest Trick-or-Treater" Halloween Photo Contest (and the $250 prize!) She's Laura Palady, a busy mother of 5 who lives with her family in Riverton, Utah.
Laura tells Celebrate with Style that the winning photo of her 17-month-old son, Brycen, as "Raggedy Andy," came about purely by accident.
"Brycen was fussing and whining while I was trying to take his picture, and I was getting very frustrated," Laura recalls. "So I said to him, 'Fine. Do whatever you want.' Then he just stopped fussing.
"I continued to shoot pictures and was lucky to get this one," she says.
Laura's photo of her only daughter Kaydee, 3 ½, was also entered in our contest and that photo was chosen by our judges as one of the 25 Runners-Up.
"She's my Super Model," says Laura with a laugh, adding that Kaydee's costume is actually the same "Raggedy Anne" costume that Laura wore when she was 5 years old. (Laura's mom made Brycen's new costume.)
Just one month ago, Laura decided to start Bluebonnet Photography, a business borne of her lifelong love of taking pictures. "I've always carried a camera in my pocket book," says the former stay-at-home mom.
